Lowrey Heritage Deluxe DSO-1
The famous Beatles ‘Lucy In The Sky WIth Diamonds’ organ. Abbey Road had one of these organs up until 1980, and it was used on ‘Being for the Benefit of Mr Kite’ as well.
Here is the first thing anyone ever tries to play on our DSO-1:
It’s got some lovely tones on it, and is fully driven by valves - some 50 odd in the back… It has sustain functions, a built in leslie speaker, and even a chime effect which is selectable by pulling out a stop on the right hand side.
The Lucy In The Sky sound is actually Music Box + Harpsichord with a little sustain, but no vibrato.
Here is part of a slightly rude song by ‘The Goose and the Crow’ which features the Steve Christie playing our DSO-1. The very rude Chorus isn’t included, but if you would like to hear the full version, please go to http://thegooseandthecrow.bandcamp.com
