Steinway A Grand Piano (1911)

Steinway A Grand Piano, built in 1911. Kept in a school hall hardly used until 2017, now used every day by us!

This beautiful 6 foot 2 inch long piano was acquired from a local school, where it had been sadly unplayed and unloved for a couple of years, after being removed from their school hall. It used to be used for assemblies and concerts for as long as anyone can remember. It had its soundboard replaced by Steinway in around 1990.

It was acquired by Steve Christie in 2017 and lovingly brought back to life by local piano tuner, David Ashford (who also services our other Leutke baby grand)

An amazing piano for Classical and Jazz, but just as at home with pop and rock, this stunning instrument is a must for anyone wishing to achieve a perfect piano sound. Recorded through our Neve VR channel strips, it sounds phenomenal!

You can either arrange to visit the studio and record this beauty, or Steve Christie is available to record any piece of music you require. Sheet music or lead sheet is useful, but not necessary if you don’t have it. Steve can work piano parts out either by transcription, or can invent a part to suit your project.
