Don Shinn (Professional Pianist, Session Musician) - Don has been a professional musician since joining The Soul Agents in 1963 as their organist. After making 3 singles for Pye Records, he then went on to form 'The Shinn' and 'Don Shinn and The Soul Agents', making a single for Polydor in 1966 and two albums for EMI in 1969, one with Jazz legend, Stan Tracey. He played on James Taylor's first album for Apple Records, and played with Dada and Iguana in the early 70s before moving to Norway, where he played professionally for 20 years.  He is cited as a major inspiration for Keith Emerson of Emerson, Lake and Palmer.   He is a gifted player, and Hammond Organ is his main love.

Here are some excerpts of Don's playing, featuring a few tracks from his albums made in the late 60s. The last piece is a tune from a forthcoming new album he is putting together for Vintage Keys Studio / VKS Records. This was recorded on location at a local school during the Summer holidays!
